The third coronavirus grant claim deadline is fast approaching. If you haven’t yet applied, what do you need to do?

The Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) was initially intended to cover the two quarters to 31 October 2020, but was extended for a further two quarters due to the ongoing restrictions on businesses. The SEISS is a taxable grant available to businesses affected by the pandemic for the period covered by the grant. The third grant covers the period from November to January and requires a business to meet more stringent conditions rather than just be “adversely affected”, as was the case for the first and second grants. Full details can be found here.

Crucially, the cut-off date for claiming the third grant is 29 January 2021, i.e. next Friday. If you haven’t done so, ensure you get your claim in by then to avoid missing out.
